City of Oshawa Charger Installation

EnerFORGE delivered a turnkey utility contractor project in October 2024, installing 20 electric vehicle chargers at the City of Oshawa’s Consolidated Operations Depot. From planning and coordination to installation and commissioning, EnerFORGE provided end-to-end delivery. The chargers now serve municipal fleet and staff needs, demonstrating how EnerFORGE helps public sector partners modernize operations and meet their clean energy transportation goals.

Bloor Street Suitemeter Conversion

EnerFORGE completed a turnkey suite metering project for two residential buildings on Bloor Street, installing meters across 106 units. The project gives tenants fair, usage-based billing and access to the Oshawa Power customer portal, helping them better manage costs and consumption. Building management benefits from improved accuracy, simplified administration, and the long-term efficiency gains that come from reduced overall electricity use.

ZooShare Anaerobic Digester & Biogas

In partnership with the ZooShare and the Toronto Zoo, EnerFORGE is working to develop a renewable biogas digester that will use animal and food waste, provided partially by the Toronto Zoo, to offset nearly one third of the zoo’s electricity demand. This first of its kind project in Canada, has received $2.7 million in funding from the federal government’s Low Carbon Economy Fund, and will provide 500 kW of capacity…

Delpark Homes Community Centre CHP

Located at one of the City of Oshawa’s largest community centres, this 600kW cogeneration project is expected to reach operation by the end of 2020. The natural gas-fired system will generate heat and electricity to help increase the facility’s efficiency, while providing back up heat and power during grid interruptions.

Commercial Rooftop Solar Portfolio

EnerFORGE owns and operates four solar arrays under Ontario FIT contracts. The four systems, located across Oshawa and including one system at Oshawa Power’s head office, provide 547kW of capacity to the local grid. These systems were the first in EnerFORGE’s solar portfolio.

Durham Region Transit Electrification Pilot

With a stated mission to reach zero-emissions by 2030, Durham Region Transit has enlisted EnerFORGE to help design a system of charging infrastructure and additional technologies that will meet their needs for the shift to e-buses. While still in its infancy, this project has received over $10 million of funding from governmental agencies and The Atmospheric Fund to help DRT and EnerFORGE reach their goals.
