Position Summary

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented HR Coordinator to join our team and support our HR initiatives. Reporting to the Managing Director of EnerFORGE, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for being an effective resource for employees and enhancing current HR processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29.70 per hour to $39.78 per hour. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. This is a part time position and will not exceed twenty-four (24) hours per week.

As the successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to be involved with:
- Assisting with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications;
- Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees;
- Providing backup support for payroll;
- Providing guidance to employees to address labour-related concerns, grievances, and disputes;
- Conducting research on labour laws, collective bargaining agreements, and industry trends to ensure compliance and informed decision-making;
- Maintaining employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality;
- Support HR initiatives and programs, such as performance management, employee engagement, and training;
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries;
- Coordinate HR-related meetings and events, such as training sessions, team-building activities, and employee recognition programs;
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practice.
What You Have to Offer
- Post secondary education in Human Resources or working towards a CPHR designation;
- Minimum three (3) years Human Resources experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong working knowledge of Ceridian dayforce or similar HRIS;
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
